Pair of Staffordshire Wally dogs. Not sure why they are called Wally dogs! But, they were produced at the beginning of 19th Century by Staffordshire pottery houses as cheery inexpensive objects for the masses. These have been well loved and have very little gold detail left l, which I think adds to their charm. Wally dogs always have a sightly superior look on their faces, which always makes me giggle.
